if you’re here, you know how it is.

you could spend hours in mazes of bookshelves, running your eyes along rows of multi-coloured book spines, just waiting for one that catches your eye.

and then you see it.  you take it in your hands, feel the weight and rub the paper between your fingers.  if no one’s looking, you might even smell it.  you are attracted to the way the words roll across the cover, the way the colours affect each other, the way the lights overhead bounce off the glossy cover stock.

and most importantly, you wonder if you should judge the book by the cover.
